Q: What pots and pans will there be to cook our food for the group meal.
A: Whatever you need. Let Leslie know exactly what you want and she will make sure it is there. For the Thursday evening meal, bring what you know you will need. You are still welcome to use anything that is in the stake pavilion/ kitchen but all of the wards are welcome to it as well. Leslie's email is leswoodmansee@msn.com
Q: Are there firepits/ will we be allowed to have fires?
A: Yes, there are firepits, although not 1 per cabin. At this point, yes, we can have fires and fire wood is there near the firepit for your use. I don't know how dry it will become before July 27, by the time we get to camp, there may be restrictions.
If you want to guarantee that you have a campfire for your testimony meeting, I recommend bringing a propane campfire.
Q: Where will we stay? Where will our ward have testimony meeting?
A: See this map for a view of cabin and Thursday night fire pit assignments.
Q: Can I bring my baby/ little kids?
A: No. Heber Camp specifies that no younger kids can be there during YW camp.
Q: Can bishopric/priesthood volunteers bring their wives?
A: Yes to testimony meeting. No to anything else. Heber Camp guidelines request no family members for anything but the Thursday night ward testimony time, and then spouses only, no children.
Q: Can I drive my own car?
A: There is such limited parking, we are asking that there be no more than 1 vehicle per ward in camp at a time. Even with that, there may be some who will need to park in the lot near the welcome hut. This space is also limited, so the more car pooling, the better!
Q: Can I drive girls up after sports, cheer, etc.?
A: Yes, just make sure that they are listed on your late arrival form. Each girl and her driver (if it's a leader who is staying) need to be on the list each and every day she goes in and out of camp.
